Bareboat Yacht Charters
charter your own yacht
Fraser Island Boat Charters offers bareboat self- drive charters in the idyllic area of the Great Sandy Strait on the Fraser Coast. So, what is a bareboat charter? Don’t be fooled by the word bare, because there’s a lot included on our charters. Bareboat charters simply refer to the hire of a boat or vessel without a skipper on board. This means you can truly explore Fraser Island and all its hidden gems with a self-drive sailing holiday, with no set itineraries. During a bareboat charter you will act as the boat crew for the duration of the trip.
Although you’ll be crew, it isn’t necessary for you to be a qualified skipper or have any boat qualifications. As long as you have basic boating knowledge/experience you can hire a bareboat. You’ll be provided with a briefing from a fully qualified commercial skipper to make sure you know the ins and outs of the vessel and navigating our beautiful waters before you set sail. Our skipper will drive the vessel out of the marina for you, where you will then be free to spend a holiday on the water in style!

Let's talk about
bareboat additional costs
One of the most common questions our team is asked is what additional costs are involved on top of the charter fee of our vessels.
The only additional cost involved in bareboat charters is fuel and gas costs which are charged per engine hour at the end of your trip.
The find out full prices and engine hour costs, you can check out our individual fleet pages.
